I have two electric wall heaters. The coils in one turn BRIGHT orange. The other one does not. Is this safe?
I have two electric wall heaters brand new Cadet SL series and the one in the bedroom heats up nicely. I just recently noticed the coils in the unit in the den turns a bright orange. More so on the right side, than the left side, almost as soon as I turn it on. I went to the one in the bedroom to see if it did that too, but there in no orange glow. Is the one in the den faulty? Or is the orange glow normal and the one in the bedroom not working properly. Both give off heat, but I'm nervous the orange glow in the den might mean it was improperly installed, and could break, or worse.
