My gas water heater won't light?
I have a Kenmore Water Miser 6. This morning when I went to take a shower there was no hot water yesterday it was fine. Checked the gas in the house and it's working. Checked the pilot on the water heater and it is not lit. Tried to light it following the instructions on the water heater electronic ignition type and nothing. I actually don't even see it spark when I push the ignition button. Any ideas what might be wrong?Water heater is about 5 years old...tried probably 5 or 6 times to light. No spark and I'm not smelling any gas. Any chance it could be the thermocouple? I read about that on a couple other posts...OK the Gas Co came out not related to the water heater my dryer was smelling like gas Anyways, they got the water heater on for me. But about 1 2 hour after they left, it went off again

My water heater won't light after getting wet. What should I do?
Two days ago, pipes coming from my ejector pump broke, soaking my gas water heater and distinguishing the pilot in the process. I shut off gas to the unit, and let fans dry the area, but I can't get it to light. It's a newer model GE with a sealed combustion chamber and pizeo ignition. People are telling me to open the chamber and let that dry, but it says DO NOT OPEN all over the thing. GE says the unit is no longer repairable after getting wet. Do I need a new heater? Should I call a pricey contracter? Thanks for any advice
In an RV is it better to turn the water heater on and off or leave it on?
I hate haveing to turn the propain water heater on and off every time I want to take a shower or wash the dishes, so I just wanted to know if I would use too much propane by leaving it on.

Will a series of point of use water heaters work for me?
I live in a one bedroom, one bathroom condo. I have a sink and dishwasher in my kitchen and a sink, washer, and shower in my bathroom. My gas water heater is on it's last leg and I'm thinking it will be needing to be replaced in the immediate future. I've looked into tank less gas water heaters but after talking with another resident, it sounds like it will be very expensive not due to the unit but the work that would be need to get it hooked up. Point of use seems like a good idea since I live alone and don't have a need for hot water at multiple times. My place is fairly new built in 2004 so the wiring should be able to handle electric needs of tank. My question is will it even work I seem to be getting conflicting information on the web. Also how many tanks will I need?
Natural Gas Water Heater Issue?
A friend of mine is having issues with her natural gas water heater and asked me for some help with it. The water heater is only about 5 years old but over the weekend the pilot light went out. She's able to get it re lit, but it only stays lit for about 10 15 minutes she said and then it goes out again. Does anyone have an idea as to what the problem may be and what can be done to fix it? She's trying to avoid the cost of having a professional repair it if it's something simple. Thanks
