How much would it cost to relocate an electric hot water heater to workshop?
I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and my water heater is in my attic. I want to replace my hot water heater and have it moved to my workshop under my carport. What price range am I looking at to do the work?

Is there a part i can have hooked up to my water heater to keep temperature from exceeding 115 degrees/?

How do you refill a water heater?
We had a house fumigated so the gas was shut off. It's been roughly a month, but when we tried to have the gas turned on and the pilot light relit on the water heater, the electric company tech said there was no water in the water heater. He stated that he can not turn on the gas until the water heater has water in it. What I want to know is how can we get the water heater filled back up with water?

I have an automatic instantaneous gas water heater after only two minutes there is no more warm water?
What is the problem?

My boiler tries to make hot water still after installing an electric water heater?
I had an old boiler that heated our water. I installed an electric hot water heater for increased efficiency. However, now even when my thermostat is set low, the boiler kicks on and results in the house being warmer than the thermostat is set thermostat is new . I'm guessing the boiler is still trying to maintain a minimum temp or something related to its old hot water function. It's resulting in the heat to kick on even when our house is warmer than the thermostat temp. How can i fix this? Thanks The boiler does not have a hot water tank, but internal coils. It has an 'aquastat' that the electric runs through, but i'm not sure how to bypass it.

Hot water heater won't stay lit?
My hot water heater won't stay lit after the tank is heated. I light the pilot light and then the burner comes on and heats the water. Once the water is heated and then used, the burner won't come back on unless I relight the pilot. It doesn't sound like a thermal coupler because the pilot and burner stay lit until the water is heated. I cleaned out the lower filter and there don't appear to be any loose wires. I have adequate enough gas to run the gas range and stove. The water heater was installed 5 years ago when the house was built. It is in a garage and isn't subject to drafts.

My water heater is located inside my closet. Is it going to cause problems with my clothes/shoes?
Are my clothes shoes going to be ok with the hot water heater in the closet? Will it damage my things? If so is there some kind of safe distance that I need to keep my clothes from the water heater?

Whats wrong with my hot water heater?
It was leaking out the relief valve yesterday, so I changed it. this morning it was leaking out the valve again. The water is not overly hot. nor is the pressure too high. I did bleed out the tank after I changed it and it was not leaking after installation.

How can i fix my hot water heater?
when i take a shower sometimes it turns cold and me and my fam have tried to fix it and i can barley take showers what should i do?

How can you tell if a water heater is filled or empty?
The valve on top of the heater where the cold water runs thru is open and the stem valve near the bottom of tank gushes water when open. I also notice that the faucets in the house work when you turn on the hot water valves. The only thing though is the pilot light is not turned on. We had the electric company send someone over to relight the pilot but he said that there was no water in the tank. How can that be if everything is working properly. And how can you tell if the tank has water or not?The company that handles the gas also handles the electricity. The tank is gas not electric and I've seen them light the pilot light before. I just want to know how you can tell if tank is empty or full. Like I mentioned before water is running thru all the hot water lines in the house. It's just not heated. Also there is no leak. I already checked for it. And I would have noticed if there was a leak.

Hot water heater works but not hot at the sink?
My hot water heater is in the room next to the bathroom. The pipe runs up the wall to the ceiling then to the next room. Down the wall, under the ground and then to the sink in the middle of floor. The floor is concrete. Now in the bathroom the pipe is super hot at the ceiling, but at the sink the pipe is warm. I don't want to tear apart the wall or the floor. i don't see what could be happen between the ceiling and the sink?

Installing a ge geospring water heater, what if i don't have 7" clearance?
This is the hybrid heat pump water heater, my plumber says 4 5 inches in back is sufficient for ventilation. Is this ok?

Given that I have no hot water tank, nor tank-less water heater, how do I drain sediment?
I'm getting thick black gunk I assume it's the sediment slowly coming out of the spout of my bath faucet very noticeable when faucet is not in use.

Old electric water heater with no (T&P) pressure valve?
Hi,I just moved in to an apartment where the water heater is actually in the apartment.. It is a 30gallon water heater with no t& p valve to release excess pressure...There seems to be a closed covered valve or the place to put a valve in? on top of the unit... I read somewhere that this is ok as that valve will bust open if the pressure gets to high... But on the unit itself it says a t& p valve needs to be installed.... Is it just for extra security? or convenience?? Could it still be considered safe without that valve as that thing on top should open hoping to see somebody answer yes, i am terrified Please say yes My second question is.. This is a 10 15 yr old water heater from sears... is it worth replacing ? if it leaks it would be pretty messy as there are no drains it is an apartment near by... But who is to say a new heater wont leak... Please help..Thank you i'm trying to decide if i should just replace it ... the thermostat is set at the lowest temperature, but the water burns my hand in about a second... i dont have a thermometer but i dont think it should be that hot it's been here 10 15 yrs .. and it boggles my mind and terrifies me that some plumber installed this ..without the valve.. thanks.. i'll replace it asap.
