I just took a tub because my body is sore and I'm tired and stuff so I was like it I want a tub lol. No one has taken a shower or tub within 8 hours and my mom hasn't done the laundry or dishwasher within 5 hours too. While I was filling up the tub, half way full the water was gettin cold. The faucet was only putting out lukewarm water even though the cold water was off. I'm not sure about the model or size of the tank... But I know that it is new, 2 or 3 years old and it is probably 5 feet tall or 6 feet tall. The tub is a regular tub, not sure about the gallons or anything but it's probably 5 feet long and 3 feet high. I live on the water in NJ and it is like 25 degrees out and the basement heat is turned off... Because it is finished but absolutely nothing is down there besides the washer and dryer and the furnace and water heater. I was wondering how to turn up the heat on it??? I will post more details on the actual tank but for now what can you give me? Thanks.
I have just tried to repair my hot water heater...?
I have a 220 volt electric hot water heater that I had to replace the upper and lower thermostat on and also the lower heating element. When checking the voltage from the ground to the lower heating element both sides are registering 110..is this correct? I have hot water.when I go between the two wires on the lower heating element on each side I am getting 0??

We can no longer take 2 hot showers at a time w out somebody getting cold water, so will soon be looking into a new one. A friend recently got a tank less one and has been happy w it. I know they cost more initially, but do they last longer? Our tank one is about 7 years old...I thought it should have lasted longer, but is that about average?the lower heating element...how do we check to see if that's it? how can you tell if it's bad?Oopps, sorry, I somehow didn't see that link you provided at first..

I changed the heating element in my water heater and it worked fine last night and today woke up to no hot water today. My thermostat has no reset button on it. I also changed the circuit breaker to make sure it isn't a bad breaker. What can I do to test the thermostat?

Hello, I have an electric water heater with copper pipes that need replacement. It's only 8 years old. I haven't done this before but very good at following directions. Is this a project that I should take on or should I just get a plumber to do it? Other then directions, I don't know a thing about plumbing or water heaters. Thank you.
