I have a Rheem water heater, serial number 470 42022. Using the method Rheem says to use to decode this tells me it was manufactured in the 47th month of '04. But since it is not FVR, it was manufactured before 2004. Hmmm, built in 1904?? Now that's quality But I don't buy the 47th month either. Any thoughts?

I installed a new Rheem Richmond for a manufactured home. It worked great for one week then the pilot went out. I re lit the pilot but when I turned the gas to the on position it burned out in a couple of seconds like there was no gas. The trouble shooting section in the manual says that the combustion system shutoff tripped.
