Make sure you have the correct regulator on there and that it is leak free. The rating plate of the heater will probably say something like 150,000 btu at 10-25psi. The regulator will either have a pressure gauge on it, or should have a 1/ 4 " pipe plug in the side of it where you can thread a gauge into it. Get a gauge on there (they are under $10) and make sure you aren't overfueling the heater. Salamanders are pretty simple burners, there isn't much that can go wrong with them. If the fuel is delivered in the proper quantity at the right pressure it should operate fine... |
