I spilled some nasty smelling trash water under my water heater...how to clean it up?

Question: I spilled some nasty smelling trash water under my water heater...how to clean it up?

I put my trashbag in the closet and forgot about it and i guess the trashjuices seeped out. anyway i cleaned up the outside of the waterheater but it still smells like crap because juice is under the heater. any suggestions? its a tiled floor by the way.

Before attempting to use cleaners, I would sprinkle sawdust around to absorb all the nasty stuff.

Clean the area with some pine sol.

I would let some water mixed with bleach run underneath the water heater. this mixture should kill any bacteria that are causing the bad smells. If you don't kill the bacteria, you will just be covering the smell. Good luck.

Go to the Dollar Store and buy a bag of kitty litter. Sprinkle some on the area, leave for a week, vacuum up and do it again till smell is gone.
